Artist’s Statement & Bio
It has been my wish to integrate, through my work, the mind and feelings with images of nature, the means for this integration being imagination.
I use a variety of materials in this effort – wood, stone and plaster in sculpting, acrylics in painting. I am also a photographer and collagist. The unique life and vibrancy in each of these materials and media bring a demand for me to follow their inherent nature with my own. It is my aim to evoke both in myself and the viewer an impression, or a question, about the relationship between the visible and invisible. I also hope, at times, to bring a smile to the viewer’s face.
I studied at The Art Students League and The New School for Social Research. I was an instructor at The School of Visual Arts. My work has appeared in juried shows at the Salmagundi Club in New York City, the Woodstock Artists Association and Museum (solo and group shows) in Woodstock, New York, in Parabola Magazine and in galleries throughout the city. It is also part of private collections.
I work out of my studio in Kingston, New York and in New York City. For pricing or any questions relating to my work, I can be contacted at:
